From Missouri to the World Stage
Born and raised in the beautiful state of Missouri, Ty Loethen continues to build upon an impressive and invaluable career. Growing up, Ty understood his success could only be as great as his dedication to hard work. Competing athletically continually throughout his life, Ty has earned multiple accolades and honors that have garnered him not just success, but a chance to see the world because of it.
At age four, Loethen walked onto a wrestling mat for the first time, from that time forward he has gone on to achieve an impressive career in wrestling and beyond. With over 1000 victories by the time he was in high school, winning the Missouri State Title in all three styles (folk, free & greco) in 2011. Loethen continued his wrestling career in college where he achieved NCAA All-American status in 2014, by placing in the top eight in the country.
Post-college, Loethen knew he wanted to continue his competitive career. This led Ty to dive deeply into learning a plethora of individual martial arts disciplines. Continuing his journey, Loethen has expanded his competitive resume as a Professional in: Grappling, Beach Wrestling & Catch Wrestling.

Ty is currently competing in his fourth consecutive season on Team USA for Beach Wrestling, competing in over a dozen countries across 5 continents, placing #3 on Earth in 2023, winning beach world's Top Technique award in 2024. In Grappling & Catch Wrestling Loethen is truly world-class, with a high volume of victories across the Globe, performing on multiple professional promotions, notably earning #3 on Earth in Catch Wrestling in 2023.

With an exciting athletic career on his belt, Ty is now leading his very own Martial Arts Academy & MMA Team as Co-Founder & Head Coach of Jaguar Martial Arts.
Loethen as a leader has built a home for all to train with a perfect blend of expert coaches in the most important martial arts disciplines. Ty takes a lead-from-the-front approach: if he's not competing across the globe, you can find him frequently taking all the amazing classes at Jaguar!
